In 1979, the members of The Brooklyn Prep Alumni Association made a commitment to provide annual scholarship support to needy young men enrolled in the five Jesuit secondary schools located in the New York metropolitan area: Fordham Prep, Loyola, Regis, St. Peter's Prep, and Xavier.

Since that time, under the leadership of Reverend John D. Alexander, S.J., we have contributed more than $1,000,000 in scholarship assistance and have deepened our commitment to include the entire New York Province, with grants to Canisius High School and McQuaid Jesuit High School in upstate New York.

This support, which today has grown to $75,000 annually, has made it possible for more than 800 boys to secure the dream of a Jesuit education...affording these young men the same formative experiences we, ourselves, enjoyed.
